What subjects are covered in the preparatory classes?

Preparatory classes typically cover six major subjects required for the internal/external WAEC,
NECO, and UTME exams.
WAEC/NECO: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics,
Government, Literature in English, Commerce, Civic Education, Geography.
UTME: Compulsory subject English, along with the three other subjects based on your desired
course of study.

When do the classes start and how long do, they last?

Classes start from October to May the next year, January to May the next year. 4/7 months
duration. We offer intensive bootcamp classes closer to the exam dates, as well as regular classes
that may start earlier.

How are the classes structured?

Classes are structured with a mix of theory, practical sessions, and mock exams to help students
understand the syllabus and exam techniques. We offer Weekend (Saturdays), weekday (Mondays-
Fridays), physical and virtual classes are available for flexibility.

Are the preparatory classes tailored for all exam boards (WAEC/NECO/UTME)?

Yes, our lessons are tailored specifically to meet the requirements of each exam board
(WAEC/NECO) and the format of the UTME, ensuring students are well-prepared for their specific

Do I need to attend all the classes or are there flexible schedules?

Oorla Tutors, offer flexible schedules, physical classes, virtual classes, personalized one on one
classes, custom time scheduled classes, weekend-Saturday only classes, students can pick the class
schedule they need, allowing students to balance their studies with other activities.

What study materials are provided?

We provide comprehensive notes, past questions, textbooks, and other study materials needed to
cover the full syllabus for WAEC, NECO, and UTME. For Virtual classes we also provide online practice
tests, review and analysis of the students’ academics performance.

What are the costs of the preparatory classes?

Fees vary depending on the duration, also if its an online or physical class, the specific class
whether WAEC/NECO or/both UTME preparatory classes, also the subjects chosen and if additional

Are there mock exams or practice tests?

Yes, mock exams and practice tests are usually part of the program to help students familiarize

Yes, we offer online preparatory classes, which provide flexibility for students who may not be able
to attend in-person sessions. Our virtual classes include live sessions, replays and online practice

Can I attend classes for specific subjects only?

Yes, we allow students to enrol for specific subjects, when they need assistance in specific subject
topics. This is useful if a student needs additional help in certain areas.

How do I register for the preparatory classes?

Registration can usually be done online or in-person at the centre, No.2, John Hirese close, 45 road
off 4th Avenue, Gwarinpa, Abuja. For online registration, you need to fill out our registration form, select your subjects, and make payment to secure your spot. We have limited spots due
to our small class size, due endeavour to register on time.

What qualifications do the tutors have?

Our tutors are experienced and qualified teachers with expertise in their respective subjects. Some
are current or former examiners, with the advantage of giving students insight into what examiners
look for during marking.

How do these preparatory classes help with time management during exams?

Apart from covering the syllabus, the classes also focus on exam strategies, such as time management, answering techniques, and how to approach different question types. This helps
students become efficient during the actual exams.

Can I still join the class after October registration date?

Yes, you can still register and join our classes, as we have different batches.

How do refunds work?

We offer a prompt and transparent refund policy so that if you decide to discontinue lessons, you’ll be refunded the cost for all lessons that haven’t been delivered.

What happens if I reschedule or miss lessons?

The recording of the live class will be sent to you. Rather than miss lessons, you can
simply inform the tutor ahead and we can schedule a make up class.

Can I pay after lessons or to tutor?

Payments are required before lessons commence and only to our official account. This
helps ensure you get the best service.

What other tutoring services do you offer?

In addition to academic lessons, we offer academic counselling and also skill acquisition such as basic computing, coding to advanced programming and networking.
